ITINERARY


DAY ONE DELHI – MANALI

In the morning drive to Manali by AC Volvo coach at 18:30 hrs. On arrival at Manali check in hotel and stay overnight.

DAY TWO MANALI LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

Walk through town visiting newly constructed Buddhist Monastery. Hadimba Devi temple-It is small temple situated in the dense forest is very interesting. Hadimba is said to be the wife of Bhima from the epic of Mahabharata. Vashist, it is an extremely picturesque little place clinging to the steep hill side. On the way up to the village you come upon the Vashist hot baths where a natural sulphar spring is piped into a modern bath -house. Dinner and overnight.

DAY THREE MANALI – SARCHU

Early morning after having check out from hotel and drive to Serchu, driving across Rohtang Pass (13050 ft) and passing through Keylong, Jispa and Dracha and then cross the Baralacha Pass (16020 ft) to arrive at Serchu in the late afternoon. Overnight in fixed camp at Sarchu.

DAY FOUR SARCHU – LEH

After early breakfast leave for Leh en-route crossing Nakeela and Lachalung-la Pass (16,617 ft.) Skyangchu Thang and then crossing Taglang-La (17,585ft) and driving through the upper Indus Valley. Reach Leh by evening. Overnight in hotel.

DAY FIVE LEH LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

In the morning after having the breakfast, we will drive for half day sightseeing tour of Shankar Gompa. Nestled on a valley floor, Shankar Gompa is the home to the Dalai Lama. We will also visit the Leh Palace. It was built in the 17th Century who are looking for the world such as a miniature version of the Potala in Lhasa .Later, we will be visiting Shanti Stupa. It is a Buddhist religious monument built by Indian based Japanese Monk whose purpose was to spread Buddhism by building such Stupas across the globe.. We will further go for Sindhu Darshan at Chaglomsar. The rest of the day is free for personal activities. An overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY SIX LEH – PANGONG LAKE (145 KMS PER WAY)

A full day tour of Pangong Lake is scheduled for the itinerary. The Pangong Lake is around 135 kilometers away from Leh and situated at an elevation of 4,400 meters. En route, cross Chang la pass and drive through Durbuk and Tangtse village situated in the Changtang region of Ladakh. Stay overnight at the tented camp.

DAY SEVEN PANGONG TSO – LEH

Early morning, you can enjoy a photo-session around the lake. Post breakfast, drive back to Leh. An optional tour of Hemis Monastery is also on the cards. Hemis is the largest and richest monastery complex in Ladakh. Drive back to Leh by noon. Stay overnight at the hotel.

DAY EIGHT LEH – KHARDUNG LA – NUBRA VALLEY

After having the breakfast, take a drive to Nubra Valley. Cross the world's highest motor able pass Khardung la Come in the striking valley well-known for the primeval Caravan route to Central Asia and to places like Kashgar and Yarkand, the path was also known as the treaty road. Nubra means the valley of flowers. Carry out the exclusive double-hump Bacterium Camel ride along in the sand dune. Overnight stay at Guest House/Camp.

DAY NINE NUBRA VALLEY – LEH

Early morning get ready for expedition to Samstanling Monastery. The 19th century monastery is set in a serene setting in the Nubra Valley. Revel in the spiritual bliss of Tibetan traditions. Later, begin your drive back to Leh. One arrival in Leh, the day is free of plans, spend at your own leisure. There are activities of your interest, beautiful surroundings and a platter of sumptuous delicacies of the local cuisines to try out. Overnight in Leh.

DAY TEN LEH – ULLLEYTOKPO

Early morning, hit the road to Uleytokpo (70 kilometers from Leh). Drive past Magnetic Point, Sangam of Indus and Zanskar River at Nimu and Alchi Monastery-famous for its 1000 year old paintings. After that you will be precede to Basgo Fort and Likir. Basgo known for its castle ruin and gompa with Maitreya Buddha and murals is dramatically located on the rocks. There are several original wall murals which have withstood the ravages of time. Below the forts and temples are the small pretty villages.Situated 5 kilometers from the main Leh - Srinagar Highway 52 kilometers from Leh is Likir; known for its monastery which belongs to the GeLugPa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Perched magnificently on a small hillock in the Indus Valley, Likir Monastery is one of the most impressive spiritual destinations in Ladakh today with great trekking options for visitors and an unperturbed meditational ground.Later arrive and check-in at Uleytokpo Camp. After rest, we'll drive to Alchi Gompa which is 9 Kms from Uleytokpo. Alchi Monastery os considered one of the most beautiful Gompa of Ladakh. Considered one of the most well preserved Buddhist centers of Ladakh, the Alchi monastery has beautiful paintings on its walls, which are examples of early Buddhist art. Its Murals dating from 11th and 12th centuries, pre-date the Tibetan style of painting that is present in all other Gompas. Return to your camp for stay overnight in Uleytokpo.

DAY ELEVEN ULEYTOKPO – LAMAYURU – KARGIL

After having the breakfast you will be drive for Kargil, enroute visiting the dramatically located Lamayuru monastery and the adjoining "Moonland" hills. On the way to Kargil you can view the 9-Mtrs. tall rock sculpture of the Maitreya Buddha at Mulbek (7th –8th century AD). Overnight in hotel at Kargil.

DAY TWELVE KARGIL – SONAMARG – SRINAGAR

Early morning drive for Srinagar. You will be driving through Drass (famous as the second coldest inhabited place in the world) and crossing the Zoji-la Pass (11,500-ft. / 3,505 m) to reach hill station of Sonamarg from where it's smooth driving through the beautiful Kashmir countryside to reach Srinagar. Overnight in hotel at Srinagar.

DAY THIRTEEN SRINAGAR – GULMARG – SRINAGAR

In this morning after breakfast you will be drive to Gulmarg which is one of the most beautiful summer destination in the valley. On arrival Gondola ride (cable car) from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg. Enjoy the natural beauty of Gulmarg. Come back to Srinagar for overnight stay in hotel.

DAY FOURTEEN SRINAGAR DROP

This morning after breakfast you will be proceed for airport to board the flight to onward destination. TOUR & SERVICES ENDS.
